Terms of Service
The terms and conditions governing your use of the Cliq platform.
Last updated: 7 February 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cliq (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Cliq.
Cliq reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the Platform or email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on Cliq. By registering, you represent that you are of legal age and have the authority to enter into these Terms.
Account Types
Cliq offers two account types:
- Business accounts — For companies, brands, and organisations seeking to book influencers and creators for content campaigns.
- Creator accounts — For influencers and content creators offering services to businesses on the platform.
Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete registration information
- Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Promptly updating any information that changes
You may not create multiple accounts, transfer your account to another person, or use another person's account without authorisation.
Platform Services
Cliq is a marketplace that connects businesses with influencers and content creators in Dubai. We facilitate discovery, booking, communication, and payment between users. Cliq is not a party to the agreements between businesses and creators — we provide the tools and infrastructure for these collaborations to occur.
We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or reliability of any content produced through bookings made on the platform. We do not employ, endorse, or control the creators listed on Cliq. Creators are independent service providers.
Bookings & Payments
Booking Process
When a business books a creator's service, the business submits a campaign brief and agrees to the service price. The creator reviews the booking request and may accept or decline it. A booking is confirmed only when the creator accepts and payment is received.
Escrow Payments
All payments on Cliq are processed through our secure escrow system powered by Stripe. When a booking is confirmed, the business pays the full service price, which is held in escrow. Funds are released to the creator only after the business approves the delivered content.
Platform Fee
Cliq charges a 10% platform fee on every completed booking. This fee is deducted from the service price before the creator receives their payout. The fee is already factored into the prices displayed on the platform — businesses pay the listed price with no additional charges.
Refunds & Cancellations
- If a creator declines a booking request, no payment is taken.
- If a booking is cancelled before content work begins, a full refund is issued to the business.
- If content has been partially or fully delivered, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis through our dispute resolution process.
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Creator Payouts
Creators receive payouts through Stripe Connect. Upon business approval of delivered content, the creator's share (service price minus the 10% platform fee) is released. Payouts are processed to the creator's connected bank account within 2–3 business days.
Content & Intellectual Property
Creator Content
Creators retain ownership of the content they produce unless otherwise agreed in the booking brief. By delivering content through a booking, creators grant the business a non-exclusive licence to use the content for the purposes specified in the campaign brief.
Platform Content
All content, features, and functionality of the Cliq platform — including text, graphics, logos, icons, software, and design — are owned by Cliq or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
User-Generated Content
By posting content on Cliq (profiles, portfolio items, reviews, messages), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content on the platform for the purpose of providing our services. You retain all ownership rights to your content.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information in your profile, service listings, or communications
- Misrepresent your follower counts, engagement rates, or other social media metrics
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Circumvent the platform's payment system by arranging payments outside of Cliq for services discovered through the platform
- Scrape, collect, or harvest user data or content from the platform
- Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
- Interfere with the platform's operation, security, or other users' use of the service
- Create fake accounts, leave fraudulent reviews, or engage in manipulative behaviour
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent termination, at Cliq's sole discretion.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between a business and a creator regarding a booking, we encourage both parties to resolve the matter directly through our in-platform messaging system. If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may request Cliq's involvement.
Our dispute resolution process includes:
- Review of the original booking terms and campaign brief
- Examination of all submitted content and communications
- A decision by our support team, which may include partial or full refunds, content revision requirements, or other remedies
Cliq's dispute resolution decisions are made in good faith but are not legally binding arbitration. Users retain the right to pursue legal remedies through the appropriate courts.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cliq and its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the platform, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- The quality, accuracy, or suitability of content produced through bookings
- Actions or omissions of other users on the platform
- Service interruptions, errors, or security breaches
- Any dispute between a business and a creator
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to Cliq in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or through your account settings. Account closure does not affect any active bookings — all in-progress bookings must be completed or cancelled before your account can be fully deactivated.
Cliq reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we reasonably determine that your continued use of the platform poses a risk to other users or to Cliq. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or promptly after taking such action.
Upon termination, your right to access and use the platform ceases immediately. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) shall continue to apply.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cliq, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of Cliq shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
